While I was at 78th St Studios recently, I made my way into Yellowcake Shop for the very first time. I admired Valerie Mayén from afar as I watched her years ago on Project Runway, but to step into her space and see, touch and feel the beautifully handcrafted garments that she makes, well that just raises the bar of admiration to a while new level.

I purchased a tunic that I cannot wait to show you! and my friend Emily purchased the amazing Faux Wrap Jumpsuit (in white.) We both left our time with Valerie and Kira, feeling elated! The clothes are so well made. Every detail is so thoughtfully considered. Nothing in there is trying to be anything than what it is....Unique. Timeless. High Quality. Perfection.

It was such a great experience being at Yellowcake Shop. The people, the vibe, the creativity, the openness and generosity. It is so wonderful to have someone like Valerie running her business here in Cleveland.

And with a stroke of luck, I left my yoga mat behind and had to return to retrieve it, so... I purchased two fantastic pair of statement earrings that I am already wearing with everything! Thank you Valerie for inspiring the gold hoop purchase! I love them! I cannot wait to get back here!
