HIRING: Event Sales Specialist

 

Location: Cleveland, Ohio. The role requires heavy travel for events within and outside of Ohio.

Employment type: Part-time

Salary: $15-$18/hr depending on experience and availability. 5% commission. Any travel needed outside of Cleveland is included.

Job Description: Event Sales Specialist

 

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Event Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. As an Event Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue and promoting our event services to potential clients. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a clean and appealing retail space, fostering client relationships, and maximizing sales opportunities at various events.
Responsibilities:
  1. Client Acquisition and sales: Identifypotential clients and assist them during their time in our space.Consultative Selling: Understand clients' unique needs and create a shopping experience that aligns with their style, budget, and preferences.
  2. Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
  3. Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  4. Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Business and studio managers to ensure successful participation in events.
  5. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and performance metrics for regular reporting to management.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and event teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and provide valuable input for continuous improvement.
  7. Product knowledge: Maintain a strong knowledge of the product line, varying colors/fabrics/patterns, sizing, and fit.
  8. The role requires heavy travel, setting up, tearing down, and physical manual labor with rolling racks and garments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably within the events industry or clothing retail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales tools to track leads and manage customer relationships.
  • A passion for events, small businesses, and shopping local is a plus.
