Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding our masks and the ordering process.

Local Delivery (Contactless):

In an effort to reduce shipping times, YC is now offering a Premium Courier Service! Select "Local Delivery" Option at Checkout. Email any specific instructions for a specific delivery location at your place of residence or business for our courier to follow.

Your package will be delivered direct to your door once your order is complete and ready for delivery in 7-10 business days. We cover a 35 mile zip code radius from 44102. A photo of your delivered package will be sent to you upon delivery. An $18 fee will be applied at checkout. (YC is not responsible for lost or stolen goods after delivery).

Local Pickup

YC has partnered with local business Salty not Sweet boutique in Ohio City for local pickup of masks and other online purchases. Select our "Local Pickup" option at checkout and you will receive an email notification when your masks are complete within 7-10 business days and ready for retrieval.

Local Pickup is available Wednesdays from 2pm-4pm and Fridays 4pm-6pm. A $3 fee will be applied at checkout for this service to accommodate the staffing to facilitate this service.

When we ship:

We ship M-F. Because of the higher volume we are receiving, please allow 7-10 business days to receive a notification that your masks have shipped.

A label was created, but my item has not shipped?

Due to the high volume of shipments, it is highly likely that your item has been taken to a local post office, but has not been scanned by the postal office yet. We recommend that you check in with your local post office for any unforeseen holds or with a neighbor as the USPS is currently overwhelmed, understaffed and underfunded and therefore prone to unusual delays and minor errors (delivering to a neighboring address by mistake, etc) - more than typical due to COVID19

What are the facemasks made out of?

Our beige and white masks are 100% cotton with a weight of 4.5 ounces. The navy color is a poly cotton blend and is 6 ounces. The masks are two layers.

What is the difference between the Premium and Standard facemasks?

Yellowcake has worked in conjunction with Case Western Reserve Think Box to develop reuse-able face masks. The design focuses on comfort and safety while still being sanitary. The masks feature a pocket for extra filtration and are safely launder-able. 

Our premium protective facemasks have a few extra features for a tighter seal across the face. These masks feature wiring in the bridge of the nose and elastic at the base of the chin. 

How do I add a filter to my facemask?

Here are 3 options for adding a filter to your mask:

-HEPA filter material commonly used in vacuum bags (make certain they are fiberglas free)

- Filter material from a furnace filter. Simply pull apart from the wiring and cardboard (fiberglass free of course)

-Clean unused Swiffer Sweeper dry cloths

-Clean unused coffee filters

How do I wash my facemask?

Masks are machine washable and best cleaned with cold or warm water. Air dry to reduce risk of shrinking. Wash as needed, interchange filters regularly for optimal effectiveness.  Some organizations also recommend double stick tape at the chin or under the eyes at the cheeks for an added element of protection and a tighter seal in the event that a mask may not fit as snug as preferred.

When laundering any colored masks keep in mind some are not colorfast and may bleed. Please wash with like colors.

Bulk orders:

Custom Corporate Orders:

Customized masks will be available no later than May 15 for orders over 50 units. Add your favorite sports team, company logo or phrase! We can also take custom color and size requests for an additional fee.
