The “Pero Like” sweatshirt is a new option to represent the Latin community in a fun and unique way. PERO LIKE is a common phrase used by immigrants and the community old and young. It’s a hybrid “Spanglish” phrase that mixes Latin culture with American vernacular. It’s heartwarming to many Latinx individuals because so many of us grew up with our abuelitos and abuelitas doing their best to communicate in broken English and PERO LIKE is the crux of that.
