I found YC by a happy accident at a RISD/ Providence Craft event; I had gone with my best friend (a Master Seamstress- Level 2- who knew there were levels? and a historical textile conservator to boot). It never occurred to me that we would even STOP by a textile booth. NOTHING meets my friend's standards, well...till YC.
I stopped because I noticed the banner had a gorgeous, VERY plus-sized model and (being plus-sized myself) I was extremely grateful but also interested because the model looked SO good in the clothes.
Till these clothes, I Never Thought An XL Woman (Myself) Could Look GOOD AND BE COMFORTABLE In Clothes; do yourself a favor and try on a cardigan, JUMPER, Jumpsuit, and trenchcoat (THEN BUY THEM IN EVERY COLOR). They seem "expensive" till they last you for YEARS and still have the same color, shape, fit and quality (FOLLOW THE WASHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR EACH) and you will have saved TRIPLE on what you would have spent on "throwaway fashion".
My friend even bought clothes from YC, and she usually makes and tailors her own; this clothing is THAT level of QUALITY (even better than she regularly makes for herself) and fits AMAZINGLY.
I had my misconceptions about all these articles of clothing (especially jumpers on larger women), and I was SO wrong. Not only do I LOOK good, I feel pretty AND comfortable; THANK YOU YC!
